BF6 Battle Royale Goes Live Tomorrow as a Free-to-Play Experience
Following a long period of rumors, the battle royale experience for BF6 is finally launching. Recent speculation indicating its release would happen alongside the new season were true. Fans can jump into the action starting tomorrow.
The New Season Bringing a Fresh Location, Mode, and Weapons
Together with the BR addition, the first season is also beginning. This introduces a fresh location, a fresh game type, and fresh guns. On top of that, the Redacted Sector is making its debut. A embedded preview will become available at go-live, giving players a glimpse of what's to come.
Complimentary Structure Makes Redsec Accessible to Everyone
Perhaps the most significant news is that the battle royale mode will be F2P. Similar to other offerings, you do not need to purchase the main title to play. Several players have previously tested early versions of the experience. These trials were run in a collaborative space, which the developers described as their largest player partnership effort.
The adrenaline rush when facing another squad can't be found in other last-man-standing mode. It seems a true survival situation, and you genuinely worry if you die or survive.
Although I was a critic previously, I'm completely a fan of the BR mode since trying it.
Such first impressions from testers have been very positive. Of course, the experience may have been adjusted over the past couple of months in terms of balancing and pace. However, early signs are positive that this new mode could become a real alternative to popular titles. Many are hoping that the best guns from the base title will carry over in the battle royale.
