Actor Refutes Anti-Vax Position After Lending His Voice To Contentious Coronavirus Documentary
The acclaimed actor has lent his voice to a new documentary that casts doubt on the efficacy of immunizations and praises ex- government figure RFK Jr.
The Documentary's Provocative Foundation
Named "Plague of Corruption," the film is based on a bestselling book co-authored by a disgraced researcher, who became famous during the global outbreak for allegations that Covid was a result of a faulty batch of the flu vaccine.
Her writing partner, Kent Heckenlively, has previously authored books with conspiracy-prone figure Alex Jones. Heckenlively recently posted hailing Neeson's involvement in the documentary.
A Firm Statement
The team of Liam Neeson have released a response pushing back against suggestions that he subscribes to anti-immunization views.
"We all understand that unethical practices may occur within the drug industry, but that must not be confused with rejection of vaccines," the comment states. "He has never been, and remains not, anti-vaccination. His extensive work with the global charity underscores his long-held support for worldwide vaccination initiatives."
It continued that the actor did not shape the film's editorial content and that concerns about its claims are best addressed to the producers.
Central Themes In the Documentary
As presented, the voiceover spoken by Neeson makes several strong points:
- It suggests that pro-immunization voices have insisted on "blind obedience" to government bodies.
- It posits that "medical science has become highly politicised."
- Kennedy is shown saying, "The major issue with vaccines is that they are not safely tested."
- The film takes aim at pandemic restrictions, claiming they caused mental anguish that led to the loss of thousands of lives.
- Concerning pandemic shots, it references a report that they were "hurriedly approved" and seen as "dangerous experiments."
Past Background and Ongoing Disputes
It further cites a 2004 BBC documentary about AIDS medication trials on children, which was later the focus of a formal apology by the corporation for editorial breaches.
Recently, Kennedy directed the national health agency to change its longstanding position that there is no causal relationship between vaccines and autism. This supposed link is repeated in the documentary, even with a new report from the global health body confirming no connection has been found.
A Previous Statement of Support
Standing in contrast to the film's tone, Neeson has previously expressed clear advocacy for vaccines in his position as a UNICEF goodwill ambassador.
Two years ago, he described vaccines as "an incredible human success story," adding that "The conversation about vaccines in the past few years has overlooked how much good they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest human endeavors in human history."
The film concludes with Neeson's voice stating, "This is not the finish of our journey. This is the dawn of a different phase."
